Max Simkoff

Chief Executive Officer

Max was most recently the Director of Corporate Development for RCS, a hospital revenue cycle management company backed by Austin Ventures and InvestRx, and based in Chicago. At RCS, Max oversaw the evaluation and negotiation of strategic acquisitions and joint venture programs while also managing the design and implementation of the company’s recruiting and hiring program. Before joining RCS, Max was a co-founder of InvestRx, a San Francisco-based private equity fund targeting middle-market Healthcare Services companies. Max has a BA in History from Northwestern University.

 

Jim Meyerle

Chief Operating Officer

Jim has a background in strategy consulting with a focus on operations and structured finance.  Prior to Evolv, he was with Keystone Strategy, where he worked in two key areas: divestiture strategy for Fortune 50 consumer products and technology companies; and product management for ‘mega’ projects in the public sector.  Prior to Keystone, his background was largely in structured finance, with a specialty in leveraged buyouts for middle-market technology-enabled service companies.  Jim has a BA in Political and Social Thought from the University of Virginia where he was an Echols Scholar and a MA in Economics from Saint Andrews University, Scotland, where he was a recipient of the Saint Andrews Graduate Fellowship.

 

David Ostberg

Vice President, Selection Science

David is responsible for selection tool design and development, selection science consulting, and validation and ongoing refinement of the Evolv assessment offering. Prior to joining Evolv, David was a Senior Scientist and Practice Manager for Kronos Talent Management, where he managed a team of Industrial Psychologists in developing and implementing numerous selection assessments for a multitude of Fortune 500 companies. At Kronos, David facilitated the development, validation, and deployment of a range of assessment tools in a variety of industries, including casual dining, hospitality, grocery, and retail. David is a member of and reviewer for the Society for Industrial & Organizational Psychology, as well as the American Psychological Association. He has presented research papers at several peer-reviewed academic conferences, and has taught and guest lectured in graduate and undergraduate courses in industrial/organizational psychology, human resource management, human motivation, and research design at several universities in the Pacific Northwest. David received both a Ph.D. in Systems Science and a Master’s in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Portland State University and has a BA in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

 

Nagaraj Nadendla

Vice President, Engineering

Nagaraj brings 18 plus years of experience in the enterprise software industry as an engineering executive and individual contributor. Most recently, he was a Vice President of Engineering at Infor Global Solutions, where he managed the worldwide Epiphany CRM Applications Development Team. Prior to his role at Infor, Nagaraj managed the Worldwide Platform Technology development teams at SSA Global and Epiphany, Inc. He has an extensive background in the CRM marketing, contact center and sales force automation spaces, and his technical background includes web application development, J2EE, data mining, business intelligence, relational database technologies and building high performance scalable solutions for Fortune 500 companies around the world. He holds a M.S. in Computer Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Andhra University.

 

Dan Fowkes

Senior Vice President, Sales & Business Development

Dan was most recently the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Unicru, Inc., a leading provider of hiring automation and integrated selection science technology backed by Greylock Partners, Venrock Associates, and Benchmark Capital. While at Unicru, Dan grew company revenue from $6 MM to over $40 MM before the company was sold to Kronos in 2006. Prior to Unicru, Dan was Senior Vice President of Sales at Verecomm, a leading provider of automated verification technology (AVT) for the communications industry. Before Verecomm, he was Vice President, Worldwide Sales at Acuity Corporation in Austin, Texas, where his leadership of the sales effort helped position the company for a successful sale to Quintus Corporation in 1999. Prior to Acuity, Dan was National Sales Vice President for Telecommunications Industries at PeopleSoft, and also held several key positions at CableData/USCS, including three years as Vice President of North American Sales, where his team drove significant revenue growth that helped drive USCS's successful IPO in 1996. Dan holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Stanford University.

 

Robert Yen

Vice President, Marketing

Robert came most recently from Amazon.com, where he served on the management team of a $330 MM core product line and had direct P&L responsibility. In this capacity, he helped to define strategies for category profitability, promotional activities, inventory utilization and vendor funding. Previously, Robert worked as a Manager at both Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young, where he managed deal teams in advising financial and strategic buyers on M&A and equity investments across a broad range of industries. Robert holds a BS from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
